About Melissa


Melissa is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist based at our Glen Iris clinic who specialises in meeting you exactly where you are and creating a personalised program that reflects your unique goals and abilities. Whether your focus is on strength training, balance, cardiovascular health, or Reformer Pilates, Melissa adapts your sessions to suit your needs and preferences.

She works with a diverse range of clients, with a particular interest in supporting older adults, people with osteoporosis, and those managing heart and lung conditions.

Melissa understands that everyone’s body and journey are different. She carefully assesses your current abilities and guides your progress safely and effectively, helping you build confidence and maintain independence for the long term.

Her sessions are welcoming and inclusive, designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay active doing what matters most to you.

Specialties:

✔️ Cardiorespiratory health including arrhythmias, hypertension, stenting, bypass surgery, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, and long COVID

✔️ Osteoporosis management with safe and effective bone-strengthening programs

✔️ Lifelong independence, healthy ageing, and fall prevention through personalised strength, conditioning, and balance training

✔️ Support for persistent pain and fatigue including recent or long-term back pain

✔️ Return to Reformer Pilates with strategies for self-modification and confidence in movement

✔️ Beginner strength or gym-based training, even if you are new to exercise or unsure where to begin

 

Qualifications:

  • Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University
  • Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from Deakin University
  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA
  • Accredited Exercise Scientist with ESSA
  • Reformer Certification with Fitness Australia (AusActive)
  • Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University
