WorkSafe Funded Services

WORKSAFE SERVICES TO GET YOU BACK TO WORK.

The Biomechanics team are all registered WorkSafe practitioners in their qualified fields and our aim is to provide you with support, guidance, education and a plan to keep you moving and back to work.

Our services and team are focussed on assisting you with your goals and to improve your quality of life through helping improve your mobility, flexibility, strength, endurance, general health and well-being. We work alongside you, your case manager and your employer to give you the best possible outcomes.

There are a number of compensatory schemes that you can use to help with the cost of our services, below is more information on WorkSafe and how you can access it.

AM I ELIGABLE FOR WORKSAFE FUNDING?

Worksafe funded services are for people who have had an accident/incident at their workplace and because of this they are no longer able to work, not able to complete their job due to a decrease in capabilities, or are not able to complete their job to the level that they were able prior to the accident/incident.

These services are available with the goal of returning the employee to work as soon as they are capable. You will need to discuss your eligibility with your employer.

WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

For any service that you attend you will need to provide your practitioner with your worksafe claim number (this will have been given to you by your employer when your incident/accident was reported), your initial injury report, your employers details, details of your worksafe agent (eg; CGU, Gallagher Bassett, Allianz etc) and your case manager's details. We will also need any documentation that you have relating to your injury such as referrals and scan reports.

WHAT SERVICES CAN I USE?

To use our osteopathy or physiotherapy services you do not need a referral or request from your GP, we just need the above information so that we can provide the appropriate invoice.

To have access to exercise physiology services you will need a referral from your GP – this must be sent to your case manager and approved before you are able to attend any exercise physiology services. You must also have written approval for services from your case manager.

WILL THERE BE A GAP PAYMENT?

Please note that there may be a gap payment for services due to the worksafe fee schedule not meeting our service rates. This will be discussed with you in more detail when booking and is dependent on what service you attend with us.

You will be required to cover any sessions that are not covered by your insurer.

If you cancel within 18 hours of your appointment or do not show, you will be charged a late fee for the cost of the session. This is not covered by your insurer.

To book your appointment or to discuss any questions that you may have, please reach out on 1300 920 520.
