If you do not have a claim number, have been in an accident and believe you may be eligible for TAC funding you will need to get in touch with TAC directly to discuss your options. Their contact number is 1300 654 329.
Once your claim has been accepted and you have received confirmation of this you will be provided with a claim number, this number will need to be provided to us before any services can be attended so that we can determine your eligibility for the services and if your medical excess has been meet.
If your accident occurred prior to 14 February 2018 you will be required to pay the first $629.00 of treatment costs for medical expenses before TAC will fund your services. You will need to discuss this with TAC if you have any questions.
Our osteopathy, podiatry, physiotherapy and exercise physiology services can all be attended without medical referral as long as the gap between any of your previous treatment is less than 6 months. If the last time that you received any help for your issue that occurred due to your accident then you will need to reach out to TAC to discuss your options and get funding approval.
The TAC fee schedule does not always fund the full cost of our services and a gap payment may be required. This will be discussed with you when booking and is dependent on the service that you attend with us and the duration of your appointment.
You will need to call us on 1300 920 520 to schedule your first appointment. We will ask for your claim number and your contact details so that we can check your funding with TAC. If you have any recent letters of approval from TAC for services please email them to us (info@thebiomechanics.com.au).
During the course of your treatment with us we are required to report back to TAC about your progress, how we are assisting you and provide any other information that is determined to be relevant to your case.
Bring along any medical reports or information that your would like us to have. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in – depending on your issue and what service you are attending there may be some exercise involved. Allow an hour for your first appointment – we like to be thorough and to get to know you, understand your issue and help you to put a plan in place.
